Philosophy

The people we aim to nurture

We cultivate people who embody “gaku-chi-riko”—putting knowledge gained through learning into action—and who, with practical Japanese language ability and a “spirit of harmony” that respects and cooperates with others, become a driving force connecting the community and the world.

Purpose

The role our school fulfills

To realize our philosophy, our school provides preparatory education for higher learning, career support, facility development, and opportunities for community exchange. Specifically, we deliver advanced Japanese language education essential for higher education and individually optimized guidance for further study. We also revitalize a closed school as a platform for coexistence, offering a practical environment in which students learn Japanese culture and ethics through everyday interaction with local residents.

Educational Goals

Success indicators

(1) In the curriculum, we develop the ability to understand higher-education lectures and to think and present logically in practical Japanese, with attainment of CEFR B2 as our indicator.

(2) In career development, we develop the ability to choose optimal pathways and achieve admission, with a 100% progression rate as our indicator.

(3) In social development, we develop the ability to take part in community activities in Kuwana and collaborate with residents, with participation four or more times per year as our indicator.

Our school reuses the former Tado Kita Elementary School building, long familiar to the community, and operates as a Japanese language school that coexists with local residents. Experienced faculty and staff support each international student’s learning and daily life, helping them realize their dreams.

In class, our motto is “clear, enjoyable, and practical.” We thoroughly teach the academic Japanese needed for higher education—logical thinking and self-regulation. Through project-based learning (PBL) built around local traditional events and community improvement, we also develop practical communication skills that work in society.

We also introduce regular one-on-one meetings with homeroom teachers, supporting not only further study but also Japanese social norms, manners, and everyday life. Through neighborhood association activities, festivals, and daily exchange with local residents, students learn living Japanese culture. Our entire faculty and staff stand ready to help every student enjoy campus life with peace of mind.

MESSAGE

Principal ASAI Mikio

To everyone considering studying in Japan

There are views only those who take on challenges can see.

To those of you who feel both excitement and a little anxiety about life in Japan: that anxiety is proof that you sincerely want to succeed. Our school is not merely a place to memorize textbook Japanese. It is a place of practice—where you struggle with peers, run projects, and solve problems together. The experience of stepping forward and taking on challenges hand in hand with your classmates will surely lead to admission to your preferred school and to the career you envision. Have the courage to knock on a new door. We will support your challenge with everything we have.
